Non-Dairy Coleslaw

 

Traditionally coleslaw is made dairy-free in most restaurants in the European Countries. This dairy-free coleslaw is ideal for serving with your favorite sandwiches, and can also be taken alongside a barbecue treat, or on special occasions. easy and effortless. My go-to recipe for coleslaw is this one. Nobody will be able to tell that it is dairy-free. In fact, I've heard from a number of folks that it is a knockoff of KFC coleslaw! The dish is straightforward and uncomplicated to prepare because it only calls for items that are straightforward to locate. Contains no sulfites, dairy, casein, soy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, coconut, fish, shellfish, crustaceans, mollusks, celery, corn, sesame, mustard, lupin, gluten or any other of the following.

Ingredients:

  • I prefer to use rice milk for this dish if it is dairy-free. It tastes pleasant and neutral, with a touch of sweetness. That's exactly what we want to achieve! No matter what kind of milk you use, be sure it is plain and unsweetened. Almond milk, oat milk, and soy milk are further options.
  • If you have access to Miracle Whip, I highly recommend using that instead of conventional mayonnaise. The Miracle Whip is tarter and lighter in taste. Need to avoid eggs? No issue! Switch to vegan mayo. Just stick to a milder one without avocado oil due to the amount of grams.
  • Is it possible to produce your own pre-shredded cabbage? Totally. But because it saves me time and dishes, I like to use pre-shredded cabbage.
  • Canola oil, sugar, apple cider vinegar, onion powder, salt, and pepper are other components you'll need.

Unlike other ingredients, the ingredients for dairy-free coleslaw is very straight forward. In preparing it, here are the list of required ingredient:

  • Pre-shredded cabbage, one bag Total: 14 ounces
  • Half a cup of vegan or regular miracle whip
  • Rice milk, 1/4 cup
  • Two teaspoons of canola oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder and 3 teaspoons of sugar
  • Apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons
  • Pepper and salt as desired

Instructions

  • Construct the dressing. The Miracle Whip, rice milk, canola oil, sugar, onion powder, apple cider vinegar, and a dash of salt and pepper should all be combined in a big bowl. Blend everything together with a whisk.
  • Include the cabbage Mix the dressing with the cabbage. Mix everything together with a spoon or spatula until the dressing completely covers the cabbage.
  • Cool, then serve. Give the slaw at least two hours and as much time as you like to cool it. Dispense and savor!
